"I've been with Paula for over a year now, and it's honestly been one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Before joining with Paula, I went to the gym regularly and my nutrition was at quite a good point, but I knew I had so much more potential. I felt like I was giving so much and not getting anything back. The one thing I was missing was accountability - if I wanted to go easy on myself during a session, I would just do that.
When I signed up with Paula, that totally changed. The accountability has been the best part. Paula will check in with me on a Monday, tell me all my plans for the week, and then she'll check in with me again before the weekend to make sure everything's going to plan. I go to the gym knowing exactly what I have to do and when I have to do it.
I have a very busy schedule, so having Paula checking that my sessions are all going ahead and my steps are getting in is so beneficial. I have so much more confidence in the gym - I turn up knowing my exact plan and it's so good to see all my numbers going up week on week.
My favourite thing about Paula is that you can tell she genuinely cares about all of her clients. She wants you to enjoy the process. "I reached out to Paula during the season this year because I felt like I was constantly in the gym, constantly training, and my body didn't really reflect that. I felt like I should have looked better by my own standards than I did.
I started with the initial three months and I'm still going with her - that shows how much you benefit once you get into structured programming. I felt like I was in the gym all the time, but I was maybe just doing what I wanted, not sticking to things, and not really seeing any progress. Now I'm progressing in my lifts.
It was really good during season because training got demanding, and I would come to Paula and she would always adjust things so I wasn't fatigued for pitch sessions. I feel like maybe in season your gym work kind of falls off - you don't really know where you're at with it.
Now we're in off-season, I'm running my program as well as the gym work. Without this, I probably would've just stuck in the gym for the off-season and then gone back to preseason nowhere near the fitness level I'd be at in the middle of the season.
The accountability is great. She's always there to switch things around for you and you're being pushed in the gym. I feel like I was maybe just coasting before. I'm definitely seeing the results in my body, so it's been great just having that structure and accountability."

"Getting that overall athletic aesthetic was important to me. Before starting with Paula, I'd been playing football since I was 11, actively in the gym, completed half marathons and my first marathon. I considered myself to be fairly active and should have been in pretty decent shape, but I just wasn't getting the results that I should have for the amount of activity I was doing.
I wasn't in a routine, wasn't consistent, and was definitely under-fueling. Some days I wasn't tracking my workouts - no progressive overload. I knew I wanted to work with someone like Paula who has a background in playing sports as well. That was a big thing for me so I could align training sessions with my own football training and help build my overall performance.
